TED Talk – Professor Scott Galloway “How the US is Destroying Young People’s Future”

TED Talk – Professor Scott Galloway – How the US is Destroying Young People’s Future

Have you listened to Professor Galloway? If you haven’t, you should. He’s a self-made multi-millionaire that now teaches at NYU and is an advocate for improving the lives of young people (birth-25) through a variety of ways. He dispels the notion that the younger generation is a bunch of entitled crybabies addicted to their phones by pointing out that, for the first time, the younger generation is not as affluent as the older generations. The reasons and data behind this are fascinating and will make you think.

In this speech, one of the most compelling TED talks I’ve seen, he addresses students in Vancouver, BC and discusses the causes of disenchantment, ways in which our government exacerbates this problem, and suggests several common-sense solutions. While I do not agree with everything Galloway says, I love his method of laying out REAL solutions and getting people talking. (WARNING: Professor Galloway often uses foul language in his talks to drive points home, so caveat emptor. But you should listen anyway!)
